Collection of Personal Information

The personal information we collect is generally limited to:

  • name & contact information
  • billing details
  • date of birth, weight, health information & medical conditions related to your ability to participate in our activities
  • any communications exchanged or opinions expressed

We primarily use your personal information in order to:

  • communicate with you in relation to your booking or inquiry
  • process your payment
  • provide our services to you
  • analyze our business operations and improve your experience with us

This information is collected when you give it to us, for example, via online booking or other booking methods, when you complete our Release of Liability Waiver, when you communicate via phone, email, or another method, when you submit comments or feedback, or via social media.  In the case of minors, personal information may be collected from your parent/ guardian.

When booking online, your payment is processed securely through PayPal’s encrypted servers. We do not have access to your credit card information, nor is it stored on our servers.

We may also collect information about how you use our website, via third parties.

We use cookies on our website which may identify you and track your actions within the site. This helps make our website work more securely and efficiently, such as enhancing security on our contact and booking forms, and storing your information so you it doesn’t need to be reentered when you visit us again.

At times personal information may also be gathered from third parties, such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel. These third parties may use cookies, web beacons and similar technology to collect or receive information about you from our website and elsewhere on the internet.

General Conditions for Participation

All guests participating in activities at South Shore Adventures must:

  • Sign a Release of Liability Waiver
  • Receive the Mandatory Training & Safety Orientation
  • Dress appropriately for their activity
  • Wear the safety equipment provided by South Shore Adventures
  • Meet the required age and weight requirements
  • Children 12 years of age and younger must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperon on the tour.

Conduct Rules & Right to Refusal of Access

All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is safe, as well as respectful of other persons and property. 

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to prohibit your entry or remove you from our property at any time without refund. Circumstances that would warrant refusal of access include:

  • any inappropriate or offensive conduct including, but not limited to, any insults or profanity, conduct that is religiously, racially, or sexually offensive, or threatening or abusive
  • any illegal or immoral conduct
  • being found under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • any unsafe conduct or conduct that may jeopardize the safety of other participants, staff, the site or equipment.
